Pottsgrove High School will present “The Addams Family” on March 7th, 8th, and 9th. Tickets are available online and are $10 for general admission, $8 for PGSD staff and students, and $5 for children 4 and under. The theater department has been working hard the past couple of months, improving every rehearsal. It takes a lot to put on a show of this caliber. The musical isn’t just made up of the people onstage, but backstage as well. The show wouldn’t be possible without the amazing set design led by Mrs. Daly and the talented stage crew, and don’t forget the incredible job done by Mrs. Rodenbaugh who has been carefully curating the costumes for this production.
“The Addams Family” follows Gomez (Landon Conrad), his wife Morticia (Haley Harner), and their two children Pugsley (Ray Gray) and Wednesday (Lindsay Palmer), as well as Uncle Fester (Ethan Chambers), Grandma (Kelsey Renner) and their butler Lurch (Michael Kawczynski). Wednesday meets a guy named Lucas Beineke (Zach Lipsky), they fall in love and plan to get married. Wednesday tells her father about Lucas and begs him not to reveal this secret to her mother. This puts Gomez in a tricky situation with Morticia since he vowed to never lie to her. They invite the Beineke family over for a dinner party. Lucas’ parents, Mal Beineke (Cristian Rivera) and Alice Beineke (Emily Gomez), are the definition of a white picket fence family from Ohio. The clash between the two families leads to a night of twists and turns.
Starting on the 26th of February and ending on March 1st, tickets will be sold during all lunches. Buying a ticket will automatically put you into a raffle for free concessions the night of the show. Winner will be announced on Monday, March 4th. Nearly 1000 tickets have been sold already, so make sure to get a ticket before it is too late! Tickets can be purchased online using this link! Join us, if you dare, for an Addams Family affair!
