For this interview, I spoke with Angela Kratz, a biology teacher who has been teaching for over 20 years. She began teaching at this school in 2013 and has a strong passion for science and education.

Ms. Kratz shared that she started teaching at this school in 2013. When asked what made her want to teach science, she explained that she has always been interested in how the world works. Her curiosity about life and the natural world inspired her to become a science teacher.
In college, she completed four years of undergraduate studies and two years of graduate school. She attended Jefferson University for her undergraduate degree and LaSalle University for graduate school. Her education helped prepare her for a successful teaching career.
When asked about her favorite classes to teach, she said Human Anatomy and Chemistry. She enjoys teaching these subjects because they help students better understand the human body and how different substances interact.
Ms. Kratz believes that if students do the work, they will be successful. She wants her students to understand that effort and dedication are important parts of learning biology.
She explained that biology is the study of life and that it is used in everyday life in many ways. Understanding biology helps people understand how their bodies work and how living things survive.
When discussing her own school experience, she said it helped her understand how students learn. She knows that biology can be challenging and sometimes difficult for students to observe and understand, but she encourages them to stay curious and keep trying.
