Pottsgrove beats Boyertown football for the first time in 4 years! This is a big confidence boost which is much needed for the football team. The team has had it rough for their first two losses and many people knew about the threat of Boyertown football because of their senior running back who is very good, but Pottsgrove put up an outstanding fight to stop a Boyertown victory. One of the team’s most significant troubles this year is the defensive line, having let up 30 points. The Falcons have faced many games where the protection hasn’t been outstanding against teams with a good offense. With the help of Bryce Caffery, the team came back. Struggling at the beginning of the game, the team was facing a loss, but once they gave the ball to Caffery, the team made one of the best comebacks in Pottsgrove history. Losing by two touchdowns in the 4th quarter with 5 minutes left, Grove made a successful drive, followed by an amazing push into the end zone. With only 29 seconds left on the clock, Boyertown attempted to come back and made a nice push, but was shut down by Grove. Falcons took the win home with a score of 38-35.
