The Pottsgrove baseball team is full of seniors who play many different positions, which allows for many opportunities for success. There are a total of nine seniors on the team. These seniors are Koda Browne, Nick Freese, Isaac Kumpf, Dylan Penot, Bubba Pysher, Evan Radomicki, Chris Roskos, Zach Tyson, and Ryan Van Bramer. Three of these seniors committed to playing collegiate baseball. Bubba is headed to Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. This school is a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas. Zach is going to the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg to play Division III baseball. Lastly, Ryan is going to Penn State Beaver in Beaver County, Pennsylvania to play Division III baseball. As for the positions that these players play, Bubba is a catcher, Zach is an outfielder and pitcher, and Ryan is a pitcher and corner player in the infield. As for the other seniors, Koda and Isaac play outfield, Nick plays shortstop and pitches, Dylan is a middle infielder, Evan plays first base, and Chris plays second base and outfield. With just these nine seniors, every position is covered on the field, which is very promising for the baseball team.

Since the team seems to have a field filled with experienced players, their assistant coach, Daniel Kratz, had tons of positive things to say about the season so far and the team’s chance for success. When asked how the season is currently going, Kratz said, “We’ve seen good things from our pitchers in our first couple outings. They will be able to keep games close for us all year. If our hitters can consistently provide run support, we will enjoy a lot of wins this year.” Kratz was also confident in how he thinks the season is going to progress. He said, “We have a talented group of players that should make us a legitimate contender in the PAC Frontier division and for a District 1 playoff spot, as long as we stay healthy.” Pottsgrove’s baseball team seems to have a bright future ahead of them!
