Many students in Pottsgrove highschool have homemade stories and original characters. The worlds they make are amazing and interesting to learn about. The stories and characters being created by the students of the highschool that could easily go unnoticed. Each being unique with ideas on tropes established by modern media. One character example from a joint story made by me and a friend of mine, is a vampire named Pan who is obsessed with fashion and can’t help but raid all the abandoned hot topics he comes across after the zombie apocalypse happened in the story he originates from. This is a funny and interesting take on how a vampire is portrayed. Usually you imagine the vampire as either a monster or something similar to how they are portrayed in Twilight, not a typical, normal, 23 year old guy that likes making clothes and is just pretty indifferent towards most things. Then another character from the same story is a ghost dream eater named Reverie who is the handmaid of the devil. She’s more like his secretary and due to his laziness and procrastination habits. The zombies left the underworld because nothing was being done to stop the ghouls from hunting them. After that the devil realized his mistake and was met with Reverie scolding him and making him fix it. This is a new take on how the devil is portrayed. In this story he’s more of just a semi reluctant ruler. The fact Reverie is done with his habits and forcing him to do his job right is amusing and entertaining. The idea of the story was to take an unexpected route to how it started and that other mythical creatures exist, we did it purely out of curiosity and it makes for a really interesting story.
