A new addition to our Pottsgrove family, freshman Blessing Jones has made a good impression on the basketball program. He plays on both JV and Varsity teams. Just last Thursday’s game, he made 11 points in total. Blessing is a hard working athlete, and the work is definitely paying off! He has been getting recognized for his great accomplishments.

   Against Pottstown, the Varsity team won with a score of 56-54. Blessing states that “Everything negative is all an opportunity for us to grow as a team.” The boys basketball team has been working hard as a team and very obviously individually too by noticing some of his highlights since the winter season has started. 

   As he is only a freshman, he has so much time and future accomplishments to come. Some of his hopes were stated as “Just to win and progress as a team. In future years I want to earn that starting spot.” Mr. Myers, freshman coach of the basketball team, has some thoughts of his own. He says, “Blessing can be as good as he wants to be; he’s the future of the program.”
