The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts, has signed a five year contract with the Eagles, receiving $255,000,000 which includes the $23,294,000 signing bonus, $179,300,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $51,000,000. Jalen Hurts will earn about $4,204,000 as a base salary with a $100,000 workout bonus. This makes Jalen Hurts one of the richest players in NFL history. Hurts was named an AP NFL MVP finalist. Hurts is only a 24-year old expected to make 51 million dollars per season. The only other players to receive more than Hurts in a single contract are Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray. ESPN also said the contract Hurts signed has no trade deal which is a first in Eagles history. This is a big breakthrough for the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts.
