Harry Styles: Love On Tour

Harry Styles presents: Love On Tour! The beloved heart-throb Harry Styles recently kicked off his Love On Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV, on September 4. With his matching pink trousers and sparkly frayed vest, Harry was sure to catch everyone’s eyes on his opening night!

This tour has been long awaited by his eager fans. Harry was supposed to kick off his tour in Philadelphia on June 26, 2020, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was pushed back by over a year and instead began in Las Vegas, NV in 2021. As a fortunate fan, I was able to attend one of his shows here in Philadelphia. I can speak for myself and the other attendees that the show was well worth the wait, even with the changes due to the Covid guidelines.

This show requires that everybody attending presents either a vaccination card or a negative Covid-19 test within 48 hours prior to the event. Everybody in the arena must also bring and wear a mask for the length of the show. Even though some people may find the masks to be a pain, Mr. Styles makes sure to thank his fans for doing their part and tells them that he can “always tell more about a person by their eyes, anyways” which is a very cute, and positive mask-reinforcement.

Styles was sure to build up the momentum with his shows, penning up with his suspenseful and psychedelic designs on the screen that played along with his amazing upbeat single “Golden.” He was able to manage keeping an upbeat and positive vibe with his other singles like “Watermelon Sugar” and a fan favorite “Only Angel,” while also bringing in some emotion with his heartfelt songs such as “Fine Line” and “Falling.” Styles also managed to pull some tears from the audience with his amazing speech that he gives during his shows. “If there’s anything that I’ve learned over the last 18 months it’s that the time spent with people you love is the most important thing, so please make sure you tell the people you love that you love them.” Says Styles in his appreciative speech talking about his own personal struggles with the pandemic and not being able to play his shows for his fans.

Ending with his show-stopping, head-banging, rock song “Kiwi,” everyone was left speechless at the end of the night. Styles has really built up a lot of confidence since his last tour and has turned himself into a great solo performer since his One Direction days. Harry was sure to pull off some amazing shows with many more to come. If you decide to attend one of his shows you will surely not be disappointed. Love on!
