Basketball: Pottsgrove vs. Upper Perk

Pottsgrove secured their first PAC win of the season against Upper Perk on Saturday, January 19, 2020. It was a great all around fourth quarter effort by the Falcons that helped secure the come from behind victory. Pottsgrove trailed the whole first half but was able to get it down to 1 point at halftime. Upper Perk led by 9 going into the 4th quarter. The Falcons were able to rally and outscore the Indians 22-6 in the fourth quarter.

 Pottsgrove was led by Sophomore, John Ryan McMenamin. He scored 21 points and hit 4 threes. Junior Luke Kaiser also chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Manny Allen came off the bench and helped out with 7 points. “It’s been a long road for us, and we really wanted to pull out a win not only for us, but for our seniors and to help them have a good finish to their final season,” said John Ryan McMenamin about the teams comeback win. “We knew this was a team we could beat and we had the heart to do so.” 

Upper Perk got 19 from Hunter Fleck and 7 points from Nick Aron. Sean Boyle also scored 6 and had foul trouble throughout.
