The German club at Pottsgrove High School is experiencing an incredibly eventful year full of activities and engagement. Advised by Herr Donovan, the club was able to go on a field trip and spend the day in Philadelphia. They visited a traditional German Christmas market and ate at Brauhaus Schmitz, coined “Philly’s most authentic German restaurant”. They were able to do this trip due to the many fundraising opportunities that they hold, one happening this Spring that includes $45 for a 6-pack of Fightin Phils tickets to any regular season game! In the summer they plan to go to Germany and stay with the families from the exchange program that happened earlier this year. It will include two weeks of traveling around Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It will fully indulge them in German culture and allow them to use their German skills in real-world scenarios! One of the aspects of the upcoming trip that Herr Donovan mentioned was the chance to visit BMW and see the history and inner workings of the car company. Keep on the lookout for more, Auf Wiedersehen
