The 68th annual Color Day is just around the corner, with anticipation rising! Color Day is a tradition that has been around for decades, where each grade comes together and competes against one other in events for points. This day is something many schools have tried to pull off, but only Pottsgrove has been able to have success.
The Senior Subway Surfers are trying to get a second win for their class, after their win over last year’s seniors. However, Junior Jurassic Park is trying to topple them off their throne. If the juniors win, it will be the first time there is a consecutive junior win in a long time. The Sophomore Super Mario’s and Freshman Fortnite are trying to stay in the competition.
Color Day starts off with senior speeches, focused this year on the theme of “We, not me”. After the closing of speeches, students will go back into their Color Day homeroom classes to vote for their favorite speech and get into their spirit wear. Once everybody is ready, they head to the designated areas to compete in the games. The points will be added up throughout the day, additionally using points from spirit weeks throughout the year. The final winner will be announced at the end of the day. The class of 2024 broke the seniors’ winning streak and won the spirit stick as juniors. Let us see if the class of 2024 will hold their title this year!
