Many of our Falcon athletes have advanced past their seasons and have entered the postseason. The football team is playing Bishop Shanahan on Friday, Nov 3, while the marching band is competing in the 64th Annual Cavalcade of Bands Marching Band Championships on Nov 4. Finally, Elsa Lucus, a cross-country runner, is moving on to States.
The Pottsgrove Falcon Football Team is in the P.I.A.A. District One AAAA Football Playoffs. Their first game is against Bishop Shanahan’s Eagles. The game starts at 7:00 P.M., November 3rd, at Bishop Shanahan’s high school. If you’re planning on attending the game, you can purchase tickets (online only) here.
The Pottsgrove High School Marching Band will compete in the 64th Annual Cavalcade of Bands Marching Band Championship on Nov 4th. Going into the championship, they are currently first out of twenty-two schools. They begin their competition at approximately noon. If you’re interested in watching Pottsgrove’s phenomenal marching band play, you can buy tickets here. It is $20 for an adult and $18 for kids and students.
Finally, one of Pottsgrove XC runners, Elsa Lucas, has made it to States. Elsa Lucas qualified for the P.I.A.A AA championship. Elsa made it to the championship with a time of 20 minutes and 11 seconds, where she placed ninth. Not only was this around a 30-second personal best for Elsa, it also allowed her to go to States. This event is this upcoming Saturday and will be in Hershey, PA.
