As the 2023 fall sports season comes to a close, the clubs of Pottsgrove High School ignited school spirit with the annual bonfire on Thursday, October 12th, from 6:30 – 8:30. The bonfire’s goal was to spark unity and school spirit between the students and staff. The bonfire was a Student Council-run event that had a great lineup of activities and entertainment from a bunch of the clubs that Pottsgrove has to offer. Attendees were able to participate in “Pie a cheerleader”, a scavenger hunt, caricature photos, raffle baskets, corn hole, music, face painting, spike ball, and a photo booth! Food and drinks were available to help raise money for each club. There were Käsespätzle from the German club, crepes from the French club, and boba from the Diversity club. There were also hot dogs, baked goods, s’mores, and lots of other yummy snacks. Student attendance was at an all-time high for this year’s bonfire, allowing clubs and students to really enjoy all that the festivities offered. Overall, students and staff alike had nothing but positive reviews of the event. Students are hopeful that the intensity and spirit of the bonfire will permeate throughout the school year.
