Girl’s Volleyball Senior Night

Girl's Volleyball Senior Night

Adriana Kennedy

As the girls’ volleyball team’s Senior Night just recently passed, on Friday, October 1st, there were a lot of mixed emotions from the players! Senior, Sydney Schwanbeck says, “I’m very excited, but also kinda sad because it’s my last season.” To get into the game, adults had to pay the cost of $5 and children for $3. The gym was decorated with the theme “Hollywood.”

Throughout the ceremony there were many smiles and tears. We had a good audience, with many family members and friends there to support our players. In the ceremony, every senior was introduced, walked across the court with their families, and got a picture. Shortly after, the game began. The game was an intense five sets, ending with a really close game. The girls’ put in their hard work throughout the entire game, winning the second and third sets. Our opponent team, Owen J. Roberts won the first, fourth, and final set. It was a very close call, but Pottsgrove unfortunately didn’t win the game. The amazing plays by all the girls and the memories made that night proved to be a very successful senior night for everyone in attendance.
