It’s Back!

Who’s ready to dance and party all night…POTTSGROVE!! Pottsgrove’s prom is finally back after a year without one. The class of 2020 had to leave without a senior prom but the class of 2021 is leaving seniors with a prom. Due to the pandemic, Pottsgrove wasn’t able to have prom last year but no need to ponder over the past because it’s back on this year. With a late notice and not much time to prepare, students are still getting it done. Some students are not happy about it being so last minute because it takes time to get stuff together, but everyone understands that COVID-19 has made things difficult to plan, and seniors are just grateful that it’s going to happen. Pottsgrove Senior by the name of Janiya Jones says, “I’m excited for prom because it’s outside but hopes that the music is jumping! No turning off the curse words.” Good music is an important part of prom. In the past Pottsgrove proms they have played some pretty boring music… but there is always room for improvement. Another student had to say “Hopefully there is a better food selection because another chicken with lemon sauce isn’t going to cut it but the mashed potatoes were bussin.” Prom is usually inside but with COVID, it has to be held outside. Maybe with the change of scenery and music choice prom may just be a hit. I think with everything going on in this world right now this prom is going to be one to remember!
