What’s Going on with Clubs?

The pandemic has caused a lot of issues, especially with extracurricular activities. Clubs are one of the activities that have been the hardest part to keep alive. I have spoken to some clubs and a lot of them are trying to find new ways to keep their club active. Key Club usually hosts an annual Veterans Day Breakfast where Veterans and their families come into Pottsgrove and are served a free breakfast. Unfortunately, this year they could not hold their breakfast, so they compromised and sent cards to Veterans. Clubs are replacing in person activities with Zoom calls or other online activities. Last week DECA had a meeting with Mr. Kriebel over Zoom to discuss what they would be doing with their projects.

“The zoom went well and it was nice to see everyone and get some work done,” says an anonymous source.

Key Club is trying to do monthly zoom videos to discuss and come up with new ideas to stay active in their club and community.

“It’s been hard but we are trying to make out of this bad situation,” says an anonymous source.

As for some clubs however they were not so lucky. Video news has not been able to make their usual morning announcements. Bowling hasn’t even been able to participate with their club. Hopefully soon more clubs can start back up again.
