The New Vaccine

Amid all the concerns with the Covid-19 pandemic, the world has been looking for a way for all of it to end. Recently, a new vaccine has been found that could potentially do just that. The new vaccine was made by a team at Oxford University, and has been shown that it can be effective for both young and old. “The populations at greatest risk of serious COVID-19 disease include people with existing health conditions and older adults,” says Dr. Maheshi Ramasamy, from the University of Oxford (abcNEWS). This could potentially change the way the virus is moving, causing less cases.

Vaccine testing has been going on for about a week, and so far around 570 people have tested the vaccine. Results have shown that the vaccine is just as effective for both the old and young. But with that came mild reactions to the vaccine. Headaches, fatigue, and muscle soreness were just a few symptoms that came from the testing. Other companies have also come close to finding an effective vaccine, but Oxford University’s seems to be the easiest one to transport. It only requires standard refrigeration, so that makes transporting especially easy.
