Yearbook

Yearbooks are a sentimental memory book for most students, especially Seniors. The yearbook is priced at $65 at the beginning of the year but by the middle and end of the year, the price goes up to $80. Students at Pottsgrove design the yearbook from front to back. According to Mrs.Small none of the profits go back to the school but it goes back to the company making the book. The price that is paid whether it be $65, or $80 goes back to the company to pay for the pages that will be made, and to print them. However, in the last ten pages of the yearbook students and their parents can pay to get a shoutout to be put in the book and some of that money comes back to the school. A lot of students share a concern on why the yearbooks cost so much by the middle of the year, and some say they should remain the same price especially since the school doesn’t get much profits from them. Some families can’t afford to spend $80 on a yearbook, which raises another concern for students. Overall, the ultimate concern or question from students is “Why the raise in price for a yearbook?”
